
Part of the Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, The Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop in New York, NY is a 4,000 sq. ft. lithography, intaglio, relief, and digital printmaking workspace. The studio offers membership opportunities, work exchange programs and contract services. They produce fine art prints for individual artists, galleries, foundations, and institutions as well as their own published works available through the shop. Additionally RBPMW offers ongoing classes and workshops.

Post Expose is a screenprinting collective in Long Island City, NY started by Sarah Mead of Urban Inks. The studio has a core collective of artists and designers each operating their own independent ventures. Additionally, Post Expose offers eco-friendly printing services, studio space/equipment for rent, really nice t’s and prints for sale and public screenprinting courses. Artist Proof Studio in Johannesburg, South Africa offers some of the best etching and lithography facilities in its country. The studio’s educational program provides disadvantaged artists/residents skills to operate a proferssional practice, become strong community leaders, create a body of work and pass their knowledge onto future students. Additionally, Artist Proof creates outreach projects for AIDS/HIV awareness in South Africa.

Studiocromie is a screenprinting studio in Southern Italy printing great work by friends/guests from the world of design and street art.

The Jyväskylä Centre for Printmaking in Jyväskylä, Finland provides functional and inexpensive facilities for professional printmakers, as well as guided services for artists and the promotion of printmaking through exhibitions at its Galleria Harmonia. The studio supports intaglio, relief-printing, lithography and screenprinting, plus has a special guest room for visiting artists.

Error Solutions is a screen printing company based in the East End of London, UK printing pretty much anything from lanyards to skateboards (as is evident from the great printing frame above).

Kala Art Institue is an international workshop in Berkeley, CA. The studio facilities include a printshop which facilitates a variety of traditional and new print processes, as well as a digital media center and an exhibition gallery. Kala offers residency opportunities, various calls for entries and a great “artist-in-schools” program.

The Centre for Fine Print Research in Bristol, UK focuses on the development of quality fine print from a fine art and industrial perspective. The centre is committed to the dissemination of its research through education, training, professional practice, collaborative projects, conferences, and the publication of its research outcomes. Its facilities support a great range of mediums from screenprints and intaglio to ceramics 3D prints and laser cuts.

Vahalla Studios is a screenprinting/design/clothing studio located in Kansas City, MO. The studio has become recognized for their show posters, but they’ll pretty much print anything flat: postcards, invites, stationery, etc.

Atlanta Printmakers Studio in Atlanta, GA exists to provide studio space and equipment for artist-renters and offers community outreach through classes, workshops and exhibitions in order to enhance the understanding of and appreciation for printmaking.
